Montague at Whitehall: Battle of the Bell 2026

It was a beautiful fall night in 2021. The Whitehall stadium lights sliced through the autumn darkness as the final whistle blew. Whitehall had clinched the Battle of the Bell victory over Montague, and the entire stadium knew what was coming next.

The Montague Wildcats had dominated this series winning 17 of the 20 previous matchups.

Just beyond the fence on the south end of the field, at Heidi Hickman’s house, anticipation buzzed in the cool night air. It was 9 PM — the game had ended, but the celebration was just beginning.
